PSALM stands for Philippine Student Alliance Lay Movement Inc. PSALM is largely defined by its vision, mission, 5-fold Purposes and Core Values.
Vision
We envision a multitude of youth leaders, transformed into Christ likeness, highly trained and equipped discipler-makers, in campuses, churches, communities, workplaces in the Philippines and world for the greater glory of God.
Mission
To aggressively evangelize college students and youth, nurture them towards Christ likeness, train them to become excellent leaders and discipler-makers, and mobilize them as passionate agents of change and influencers for Christ in campuses, churches, communities and workplaces.
PSALM'S 5 FOLD PURPOSES
1. To evangelize and disciple students and laymen and to encourage their spirirual development; to train them for spiritual leadership and witness on school campuses, in local churches, and in the community.
2. To equip students, laymen, and pastors for church growth.
3. To provide a program of activities focused on social welfare and development.
4. To encourage appreciation of Filipino culture and talent.
5. To be a research center in developing materials for spiritual, social, and cultural growth.
OUR CORE VALUES
The movement is guided at all times by these four central values:
1. God's Kingdom Program
Central to our message is God's Kingdom Program. Our fulfillment of the Great Commission takes two stages: Grace: On the basis of God's justice and love, we first passionately win the hearts of the youth back to God. Truth: Secondly, we train them for involvement in the ministry; for leadership in the advancement of God's Kingdom Program; and we nurture them so they develop Christ-like character.
2. The Youth
Foremost in our ministry are, particularly the students. Our movement's success starts when we see the youth become passionate agents of spiritual transformation. We are committed to guiding college students obtain knowledge with spiritual insight so they become leaders with Godly values.
3. The Lay
Our greatest strenght is our Lay partners. They are adult Christians with veracious integrity. They are qualified individuals coming from diverse sectors of our society. Some are PSALM alumni. They are our resource pool that sustains the equilibrium between our delivery of our ministry services and our financial support base.
4. Excellence
A commitment to excellence permeates everything we do. We continually improve our processes and our relationship with our ministry partners so we stay efficient, relevant and cost-effective - continually delivering optimum performance.

This illustrates the logical progression of PSALM that reflects the complete program and system for spiritual growth and development of the members; their participation in the campus ministry; their leadership training; and ultimately their integration in the leadership of the local church.
OUR COMPARATIVE ADVANTAGE
We lead the youth to take a step farther by taking on leadership roles. From passive membership, the youth are empowered to actively be involved in the campus and church ministry and even in community services.
